If travelling to Wanganui from New
Plymouth direction (SH3), once you get to the 70km/h sign, take third
turn on your left (Virginia Road). Travel down Virginia Road to
bottom of the hill then turn left at the third intersection (roundabout
at Glasgow Street). Travel along Glasgow Street which merges with
Somme Parade, right beside our glorious river. Follow the river
for about four to five kms until you see the Top Ten Motor Camp on the
right, nestled beside the river. Can't miss it.
If arriving in Wanganui via the
Paraparas (SH4), when you reach the 50km/h sign, follow the river via
Anzac Parade until you reach the first road bridge which is Dublin
Street Bridge. Turn right at the bridge, then right again at the
other end, then follow the river on Somme Parade for about five k's
until you see the Motor Camp on the right.
Coming from the South, turn right at
the large roundabout just past the "Welcome to Wanganui"
sign, which takes you onto Putiki Drive. Follow the river
until you get to the second road bridge (Dublin Street Bridge) then
turn left onto the bridge, turn right at the other end and as above,
follow the river on Somme Parade for about five k's until you see the
motor Camp.
